Sunrise Tiny House Keeps Tiny Living Truly Tiny

As tiny homes continue to grow larger, the Sunrise Tiny House takes things in the opposite direction. Designed by Turkish company Saly Karavan, this compact home is built for mobility, making it an appealing option for anyone dreaming of a more nomadic lifestyle.

Measuring just 6 meters (19.7 ft) long and 2.4 meters (7.9 ft) wide, the Sunrise sits on a dual-axle trailer and weighs around 1,800 kg (3,968 lbs). Its wood-clad exterior, shingle roof and cottage-inspired design give it a cozy, traditional appearance.

Inside, the compact ground floor contains a living area, kitchen and full bathroom. The living room features a modular sofa that can provide additional sleeping space, while the kitchen has a two-burner propane cooktop, sink, refrigerator and storage. The bathroom includes a shower, flushing toilet and sink.

A loft above the kitchen and bathroom serves as the main bedroom, complete with a skylight, while a smaller loft above the living area provides additional storage.

The Sunrise is particularly interesting in its Off-Grid configuration. It can be equipped with up to 820 watts of rooftop solar, 300 Ah of lithium batteries and a 125-liter (33-gallon) fresh-water tank, allowing it to operate without traditional utility hookups. RV-style equipment such as a water heater, furnace and air conditioning is also available.

With sleeping space for up to four people and the ability to travel without being tied to a permanent site, the Sunrise stays true to the original spirit of tiny-home living: less house, more freedom.
